SME Finance and Developer (EBRD)
Egla has joined the EBRD as Associate Banker since 2015 in Tirana office as part of SME Finance & Development (SME F&D) group of the Bank. She is currently Principal Banker and Risk Sharing Framework (RSF) Coordinator for Western Balkan region at the Bank. During +8 years at the EBRD Egla has been working with all phases of the financing cycle for private sector companies in Albania as well as wider Western Balkan countries (incl. project origination, structuring, execution, implementation and monitoring).
Before joining the EBRD Egla was Head of the SME Department in one of the local banks in Albania, position which she held for over 7 years. She comes with previous working experience also in the USA (financial services and hedge funds).
Egla holds a MBA from the Northeastern Illinois University (Chicago, Illinois, USA) and a Bachelor in Science through a double-major in Finance and MIS from Southern Illinois University Carbondale (Illinois, USA). She has also completed a study programme in Business Sustainability Management from University of Cambridge, Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
