Ms. Plejada Gugashi commenced her tenure at the esteemed Swedish organisation, the Olof Palme International Center, in 2007, and has since held the position of Programme Manager for the Albania Programme. With more than 15 years of professional experience, her expertise lies in bolstering institutional and capacity development within civil society organizations, and, more recently, trade unions. She engages in supporting and ensuring respect for human rights, with a distinct focus on labour and socio-economic rights.
She is involved as expert in the International Labour Organization (ILO) programme SCORE- Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises, focusing on improving productivity and working conditions in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) within the garment sector. Additionally, she is recognized as a specialist in gender equality within the world of work.
Ms. Gugashi holds her Master of Arts degree in Health and Social Care Policies from Middlesex University in London and was granted the prestigious Chevening scholarship by the United Kingdom Government. She actively participates in multiple inter-sectoral working groups within the country, addressing pressing matters related to labor rights, democracy, and gender equality.
